The Heat Tickets and The Miami Heat

Basketball is one of the sports that has managed to acquire much attention from the crowd. As a matter of fact, basketball players are considered to be as huge as celebrities themselves. In the United States, the NBA is a collection for professional basketball teams. Of the teams in the NBA, one of the more known team is the Miami Heat. As a matter of fact, the Heat tickets are always sold out in ever game that they play.

The Heat was started in 1988 as an expansion team. The team struggled at first. They were mainly composed of young players that lack the experience as others would have. The 93-94 season was when the team managed to have their first winning record. Since then, the team managed to win 7 Division titles already and a championship win in 2006. They have played in 13 playoffs already. This only revitalized the Heats ticket sale.

The team hired in 1995 Pat Riley. This was the catalyst for many changes in the team. Riley changed the roster of the team. He acquired and traded players to better improve the performance of the team. The team played in the playoffs that year but lost to the Bulls. The next season, they once again played the playoffs but again lost to the Bulls. Despite that, the Heats ticket holders were still ecstatic to have seen their team play. The performance of the team garnered them the support of their fans.

The American Airlines Arena serves as the home for the Heat. They moved there in 1999. The new stadium is able to support over 20,000 basketball fans. The modern facilities of the stadium caters to the needs of both the players and the fans. The new stadium was not the only addition to the team. New players were also introduced. And come 2004, Shaq was welcomed by the team from the Lakers.

Pat Riley stepped down as the coach in 2003 to become the team's president. He resumed his coaching post in 2005. Leading the team, they won the Championship in 2006. The Heat is preparing to win another championship title. The improvement in both the players as well as the game plays has prepared the team for everything. Heat fans will be treated to another great season.

Why Watch the Miami Heat Play

The Miami Heat is currently one of the best performing teams in the NBA. The professional basketball team is based in Miami, Florida, and a member of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the NBA. Owned by Micky Arison, the team was formed in 1988 as an expansion franchise. Miami Heat is currently coached by Erik Spoelstra and managed by Pat Riley, who is a hall of famer himself. Since its inception, Miami Heat have performed exceptionally well, making the playoffs 13 out of 21 seasons. They have also captured seven division titles and won the 2006 NBA finals, where they played against the Dallas Mavericks. With a team this good, it's no wonder Heat Tickets sell like crazy! Everyone wants a Heat Ticket to watch the team play live!

The first year Miami Heat came to the NBA turned out to be a bad year for them. One of the reasons was that their players were young, and mostly inexperienced, fresh out of college. The team had a disastrous year, losing its first 17 games, and making an NBA record at that time. To add to their woes, Miami Heat was assigned to the Midwest Division of the Western Conference. Geographically, they were very far from the rest of the teams, and had to travel the most distance to play, probably contributing to the player's fatigue. Of course, during this year, sales of Heat tickets fared badly. A Heat ticket was unpopular because they were a losing team. At the end of the season, Miami Heat got a league worst record of 15 wins and 67 losses.

The current Miami Heat team is a completely different story from that of the first season. Fortunately, they have had great coaches and a string of extremely talented basketball players that have been part of the team through the years. Some notable ones include Antoine Walker, Jason Williams, Gary Payton, Shaq O'neil, Dwyane Wade, Alonzo Mourning and Penny Hardaway to name a few. Due to these people, the team started winning, and even managed to take home the championship in the year 2006.Having never had a repeat of the first season, Heat tickets sales have been steadily consistent and good! The team has made its mark on the NBA and provides exciting games everyone wants to come and see. No doubt, a Heat ticket today is hot commodity.

Should you find your way to Miami, one of the best things to do is get yourself some Heat tickets and try to catch one of the Miami Heat's games live! The team is currently doing very well, with a consistent string of wins. Watching the Miami Heat play live would be a great way to spend a night in Miami.
